Oi!

Eu estava aqui pensando sobre fotografia, enquanto fazia contatos para colocar em prática algumas ideias que tenho para novembro, e gostaria de compartilhar algumas ideias sobre isso e a ideia ridícula sobre "padrões de beleza" que muitas pessoas têm.

Estudei publicidade e fotografia fazia parte do currículo. Mais do que isso, passei alguns anos trabalhando como fotógrafa voluntária para uma ONG.

Normalmente não edito as fotos que tiro. Prefiro fazer o melhor que posso com luz e maquiagem adequadas. Obviamente, para muitas pessoas isso não é suficiente. Para modelos, geralmente é.

Se você comparar uma foto em uma revista com seu rosto no espelho, deve saber algumas coisas sobre o que faz com que a maioria das modelos e pessoas públicas tenham essa aparência:

• Eles cuidam do que comem. Eles comem de forma saudável;
• Eles bebem bastante água. Ter uma boa aparência é importante para a maioria deles;
• Cuidam da pele quando se alimentar de maneira adequada e beber bastante água não é o suficiente. Um bom dermatologista e bons produtos fazem parte de sua rotina;
• Para fotos, eles costumam usar boas marcas de maquiagem (a diferença em relação a zero maquiagem ou maquiagem barata é enorme);
• Um bom fotógrafo faz o melhor que pode com a luz. A luz adequada faz milagres para uma foto.
• Obviamente uma foto foi tirada de uma distância maior do que aquela que você se vê no espelho, criticando cada poro e cada sarda.

Quase escrevi que cuidam do cabelo, e isso é verdade para muitos, mas geralmente as mulheres apegadas ao cabelo comprido pulam este ponto. Elas preferem ter cabelos longos do que cabelos saudáveis. Qualquer pessoa que tenha usado cabelo curto e tenha um olho observador pode notar como o cabelo cresce rápido quando cortado adequadamente em intervalos curtos. Para manter o meu curto, corto um pouco a cada duas semanas. Cortar uma vez por mês ou uma vez a cada dois meses faria com que crescesse saudável.

I was here thinking about photography, while making contacts to put some ideas I have for November in practice, and I’d like to share a few thoughts about that and the ridiculous idea about “beauty standards” many people have.

I studied advertising and photography was part of the curriculum. More than that I spent some years working as volunteer photographer for an ONG.

I usually don’t edit the pictures I take. I prefer to do the best I can with proper light and makeup. Obviously for many people this is not enough. For models, it usually is.

If you compare a picture on a magazine to your face in the mirror you should know some things about what makes most models and public persons have those looks:

• They take care of what they eat. They eat healthy;
• They drink enough water. To have a good appearance is important for most of them;
• They take care of their skin when proper eating and enough water is not enough. A good dermatologist and good products are part of their routine;
• For pictures they usually wear good makeup brands (the difference comparing to zero makeup or cheap makeup is enormous);
• A good photographer does the best he or she can with light. Proper light makes miracles for a picture.
• Obviously a picture was taken from a bigger distance than the one you see your face in the mirror criticising every pore and every freckle.

I almost wrote they take care of their hair, and this is true for many, but usually women attached to long hair skip this point. They prefer to have long hair than healthy hair. Anyone who had short hair and has an observing eye can notice how fast hair grows when properly cut in short intervals. To keep mine short I cut a little bit every two weeks. To cut once a month or once every two months would cause it to grow healthy.

Na semana passada (26 de agosto) tivemos o Dia Mundial do Cão. Existem algumas raças raras. Pesquisei alguns e irei falar sobre as raças que estão ameaçadas de extinção de acordo com o British Kennel Club. Talvez você possa decidir ter uma dessas ao invés de comprar uma raça da moda! Compartilhei algumas fotos no Instagram para mostrar como esses cachorros são fofos! E aqui temos um pouco da personalidade deles.

25. Skye terrier: Você já pensou em Greyfriars Bobby? Longos, com corpo duas vezes mais comprido do que alto, baixos, com pêlos de bom comprimento. Ele se move em um ritmo aparentemente fácil. Forte nos quartos, corpo e mandíbula. Elegante e digno. Um cão singular, cauteloso com estranhos, nunca feroz. Não se deixe enganar por sua aparência fofa. Esses cães têm personalidade forte. Altura ideal 25-26 cm, comprimento da ponta do nariz à ponta da cauda 105 cm. Mulheres ligeiramente menores nas mesmas proporções.
26. Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier: Terrier de tamanho médio, compacto, ereto, bem coberto por uma pelagem macia, cor de grão, natural que cai em cachos soltos ou ondas. Um cão ativo, curto, forte e bem construído; bem equilibrado em estrutura e movimento, nem um pouco exagerado. Em pé, quatro quadrados com cabeça e cauda para cima, dando a aparência de um cão feliz e cheio de caráter. Um terrier natural com forte instinto desportivo, de constituição robusta e forte. Bom temperamento, alegre e brincalhão. Cheio de confiança e humor; um companheiro encantador, amoroso e inteligente. Altura: cães: cerca de 46-49 cm medidos na cernelha; fêmeas um pouco menos. Peso: cães cerca de 16-20,5 kg;  fêmeas um pouco menos.
27. Spaniel (Clumber): equilibrado, bem ossudo, ativo com uma expressão pensativa, aparência geral denotando força. O Clumber deve ser firme, em forma e capaz de vencer um dia de trabalho em uma cobertura pesada. Estóico, de grande coração, muito inteligente com uma atitude determinada que realça suas habilidades naturais. Um trabalhador silencioso com um excelente faro. Estável, confiável, gentil e digno;  mais indiferente do que outros Spaniels, não mostrando nenhuma tendência à agressão. Peso ideal: cães: 29,5 - 34 kg;  fêmeas: 25 - 29,5 kg.
28. Field Spaniel: Spaniel bem equilibrado, nobre, honesto e esportivo, construído para atividade e resistência. Ideal para caça bruta ou companheiro para o habitante do campo. Não é adequado para a cidade. Excepcionalmente dócil, ativo, sensível, independente. Altura: cerca de 46 cm nos ombros. Peso: entre 18-25 kg.
29. Cão d’água irlandês: inteligente, ereto, robusto, compacto. Cão de caça durável e versátil para todos os tipos de tiro, especialmente em aves selvagens. Inicialmente desapegado, leal e afetuoso; com um cativante senso de humor e uma disposição estável. Altura: cães: 53-58cm;  fêmeas: 51-56 cm.
30. Sussex Spaniel: Robusto. Cão ativo e enérgico, cujo movimento característico é um roll firme e diferente de qualquer outro Spaniel. Habilidade natural para trabalhar, dá a língua para trabalhar em cobertura espessa. Disposição gentil, agressão altamente indesejável. Altura ideal na cernelha: 38-41 cm. Peso: cerca de 23 kg.
31. Spaniel Springer de Gales: Simétrico, compacto, sem pernas compridas, obviamente construído para resistência e trabalho duro. Movimentos rápidos e ativos. Mostra muita direção e direção. Raça muito antiga e distinta de origem pura. Forte, alegre e muito ativo. Disposição suave, sem mostrar agressividade ou nervosismo. Altura Aproximada: Cães: 48cm na cernelha;  fêmeas: 46 cm na cernelha.
32. Cardigan Welsh Corgi: Não confunda com o Welsh Corgi (Pembroke), pois o Pembroke não está em risco. Eu sei que você pensou nos cães da Rainha Elizabeth II. O Cardigan é robusto, resistente, móvel e resistente. Longo em proporção à altura, terminando com uma escova em forma de raposa, posicionada em linha com o corpo. Alerta, ativo e inteligente.  Constante, não é tímido nem agressivo. Altura: ideal 30 cm no ombro. Peso em proporção ao tamanho com o equilíbrio geral sendo a primeira consideração.

Last week (August 26) we had World Dog Day. There are some breeds that are rare. I have looked for some and will talk about the breeds that are in danger according to the British Kennel Club. Maybe you can decide to have one of these instead of buying a fashionable breed! I shared some photos on Instagram for you to see how cute these dogs are! And here we have a bit about their personalities.

25. Skye terrier: Did you think about Greyfriars Bobby? Long, low, with coat of good length, twice as long as high. Moves with seemingly effortless gait. Strong in quarters, body and jaw. Elegant and dignified. A ‘one-man’ dog, distrustful of strangers, never vicious. Don’t be fooled by their cute appearance. These dogs have a strong personality. Ideal height 25-26 cm, length from tip of nose to tip of tail 105 cm. Bitches slightly smaller in same proportions.
26. Soft coated wheaten terrier: Medium-sized, compact, upstanding terrier well covered with a soft, wheaten-coloured, natural coat that falls in loose curls or waves. An active, short-coupled dog, strong and well built; well balanced in structure and movement, not exaggerated in any way. Standing four square with head and tail up, giving the appearance of a happy dog, full of character. A natural terrier with strong sporting instincts, hardy and of strong constitution. Good tempered, spirited and game. Full of confidence and humour; a delightful, affectionate, intelligent companion. Height: dogs: approximately 46-49 cm measured at the withers; bitches slightly less. Weight: dogs approximately 16-20.5 kg; bitches somewhat less.
27. Spaniel (Clumber): Balanced, well boned, active with a thoughtful expression, overall appearance denoting strength. The Clumber should be firm, fit and capable of a day's work of beating in heavy cover. Stoical, great hearted, highly intelligent with a determined attitude enhancing his natural ability. A silent worker with an excellent nose. Steady, reliable, kind and dignified; more aloof than other Spaniels, showing no tendency towards aggression. Ideal weight: dogs: 29.5 - 34 kg; bitches: 25 - 29.5 kg.
28. Spaniel (field): Well-balanced, noble, upstanding, sporting Spaniel built for activity and endurance. Ideal for rough shooting or companion for the country dweller. Not suitable for city. Unusually docile, active, sensitive, independent. Height: approximately 46 cm at the shoulders. Weight: between 18-25 kg.
29. Spaniel (Irish water): Smart, upstanding, strongly built, compact. Enduring, versatile gundog for all types of shooting, particularly in wild fowling. Initially aloof, staunch and affectionate; with an endearing sense of humour and a stable disposition. Height: dogs: 53-58 cm; bitches: 51-56 cm.
30. Spaniel (Sussex): Strongly built. Active, energetic dog, whose characteristic movement is a decided roll, and unlike that of any other Spaniel. Natural working ability, gives tongue at work in thick cover. Kindly disposition, aggression highly undesirable. Ideal height at withers: 38-41 cm. Weight: approximately 23 kgs.
31. Spaniel (Welsh springer): Symmetrical, compact, not leggy, obviously built for endurance and hard work. Quick and active mover, displaying plenty of push and drive. Very ancient and distinct breed of pure origin. Strong, merry and very active. Kindly disposition, not showing aggression or nervousness. Approximate height: dogs: 48 cm at withers; bitches: 46 cm at withers.
32. Welsh Corgi (Cardigan): Don’t confuse with the Welsh Corgi (Pembroke), as the Pembroke is not at risk. I know you thought about the dogs of the Queen Elizabeth II. The Cardigan is sturdy, tough, mobile, capable of endurance. Long in proportion to height, terminating in fox-like brush, set in line with body. Alert, active and intelligent. Intelligent, steady, not shy or aggressive. Height: ideal 30 cm at shoulder. Weight in proportion to size with overall balance the prime consideration.

Procurei alguns e irei falar sobre as raças que estão em perigo de acordo com o Kennel Club Britânico.  Talvez você possa decidir ter um desses ao invés de comprar uma raça da moda! Compartilhei algumas fotos no Instagram para vocês verem como esses cachorros são lindos! 

17. Lancashire heeler: Pequeno, poderoso, robusto e alerta trabalhador energético. Trabalha com o gado, mas tem instintos de terrier para coelhos e ratos. Corajoso, alegre, carinhoso com o dono. Altura ideal ao ombro: cães: 30 cm; cadelas: 25 cm.
18. Manchester Terrier: compacto, elegante e sólido com substância. Atento, alerta, alegre e esportivo. Perspicaz e dedicado. Altura ideal nos ombros: cães: 41 cm;  cadelas: 38 cm.
19. Mastim: Cabeça, em contorno geral, dando uma aparência quadrada quando vista de qualquer ponto. Largura desejada e em proporção ao comprimento de toda a cabeça e rosto de 2: 3. Corpo largo, profundo, longo, de constituição poderosa, pernas bem separadas e inseridas. Músculos bem definidos. O tamanho é desejável, mas apenas se combinado com a qualidade e se a solidez absoluta for mantida. Altura e substância são importantes se ambos os pontos forem combinados proporcionalmente. Estrutura grande, poderosa e bem estruturada. Uma combinação de grandeza e coragem. Calmo, carinhoso com os donos, mas capaz de proteger. Normalmente indiferente com estranhos; a timidez é inaceitável.
20. Norwich Terrier: cão pequeno, baixo, agudo, compacto e forte, com boa substância e ossatura. Cicatrizes honrosas de desgaste natural não devem ser penalizadas indevidamente. Um dos menores terriers. Disposição adorável, não brigão, tremendamente ativo com constituição robusta. Alegre e destemido. Altura ideal na cernelha 25 cm.
21. Old English Sheepdog: Cão forte, de aparência quadrada, com grande simetria e solidez geral. Absolutamente isento de aparência pernalta, abundantemente revestido por toda parte. Um cão musculoso e robusto, com uma expressão muito inteligente. O contorno natural não deve ser alterado artificialmente por tesoura ou corte. De grande resistência, exibindo uma linha superior suavemente ascendente e um corpo em forma de pêra quando visto de cima. A marcha tem um giro típico ao caminhar. O latido tem um timbre próprio. Um cão obediente e de temperamento equilibrado. Ousado, fiel e confiável, sem sugestão de nervosismo ou agressão não provocada. Altura: cães: 61 cm e acima; cadelas: 56 cm e acima. Tipo e simetria da maior importância, e em hipótese alguma devem ser sacrificados apenas pelo tamanho.
22. Otterhound: Grande, de membros retos e robustos, com revestimento áspero e cabeça majestosa, corpo forte e solto, com passadas longas. É essencial uma pelagem dupla áspera e pés grandes. Movimento livre. Cão grande e forte construído principalmente para um longo dia de trabalho na água, mas capaz de galopar em terra. Amável e equilibrado. Sinais de agressão ou nervosismo devem ser fortemente penalizados. Altura aproximada no ombro: cães: 69 cm;  cadelas: 61 cm.
23. Retriever (pêlo encaracolado): Cão forte e ereto com um certo grau de elegância. Pelagem distinta. Inteligente, estável e confiável. Ousado, amigável, autoconfiante e independente. Pode parecer indiferente. Altura ideal na cernelha: cães: 69 cm; cadelas: 64 cm.
24. Sealyham terrier: Movimento livre, ativo, equilibrado e de grande substância em pequeno compasso. Contorno geral oblongo, não quadrado. Robusto e profissional. Alerta e destemido, mas de disposição amigável. A altura não deve exceder 31 cm no ombro. Peso ideal: cães com aproximadamente 9 kg; cadelas aproximadamente 8 kgs. Conformação geral, equilíbrio geral, tipo e substância são os critérios principais.

17. Lancashire heeler: Small, powerful, sturdily built, alert energetic worker. Works cattle but has terrier instincts when rabbiting and ratting. Courageous, happy, affectionate to owner. Ideal height at shoulder: dogs: 30 cm; bitches: 25 cm.
18. Manchester Terrier: Compact, elegant and sound with substance. Keen, alert, gay and sporting. Discerning and devoted. Ideal height at shoulders: dogs: 41 cm; bitches: 38 cm.
19. Mastiff: Head, in general outline, giving a square appearance when viewed from any point. Breadth desired and in ratio to length of whole head and face as 2:3. Body broad, deep, long, powerfully built, on legs wide apart and set. Muscles sharply defined. Size is desirable, but only if combined with quality and if absolute soundness is maintained. Height and substance important if both points are proportionately combined. Large, powerful, well-knit frame. A combination of grandeur and courage. Calm, affectionate to owners, but capable of guarding. Usually indifferent with strangers; timidity is unacceptable.
20. Norwich Terrier: Small, low, keen dog, compact and strong with good substance and bone. Honourable scars from fair wear and tear not to be unduly penalised. One of the smallest of the terriers. Lovable disposition, not quarrelsome, tremendously active with hardy constitution. Gay and fearless. Ideal height at withers 25 cm.
21. Old English Sheepdog: Strong, square-looking dog with great symmetry and overall soundness. Absolutely free from legginess, profusely coated all over. A thick-set muscular, able-bodied dog with a most intelligent expression. The natural outline should not be artificially changed by scissoring or clipping. Of great stamina, exhibiting a gently rising topline, and a pear-shaped body when viewed from above. The gait has a typical roll when ambling or walking. Bark has a distinctive toned quality. A biddable dog of even disposition. Bold, faithful and trustworthy, with no suggestion of nervousness or unprovoked aggression. Height: dogs: 61 cm and upwards; bitches: 56 cm and upwards. Type and symmetry of greatest importance, and on no account to be sacrificed to size alone.
22. Otterhound: Large, straight limbed and sound, rough coated with majestic head, strong body and loose, long striding action. Rough double coat and large feet essential. Free moving. Big, strong hound primarily built for long day’s work in water but able to gallop on land. Amiable and even tempered. Signs of aggression or nervousness should be heavily penalised. Approximate height at shoulder: dogs: 69 cm; bitches: 61 cm.
23. Retriever (curly coated): Strong, upstanding dog with a degree of elegance. Distinctive coat. Intelligent, steady, reliable. Bold, friendly, self confident and independent. May seem aloof. Ideal height at withers: dogs: 69 cm; bitches: 64 cm.
24. Sealyham terrier: Free moving, active, balanced and of great substance in small compass. General outline oblong, not square. Sturdy, game and workmanlike. Alert and fearless but of friendly disposition. Height should not exceed 31 cm at shoulder. Ideal weight: dogs approximately 9 kgs; bitches approximately 8 kgs. General conformation, overall balance, type and substance are main criteria.

9. Fox terrier (smooth): Active and lively, bone and strength in a small measure, never clumsy or coarse. Legs neither too long nor too short, looking like a well-built hunter with a short back, covering a lot of ground. Alert, quick movement, keen expression, tiptoeing in anticipation. Friendly, approachable and fearless. Height at withers not more than 39 cm in males, slightly smaller females. Weight: males 7.5-8 kg, bitches 7-7.5 kg.
10. Glen of Imaal Terrier: Medium size with medium length coat, high strength with maximum substance imprint for dog size. Body longer than tall. Active, agile and silent when working.  Native to the county of Wicklow, its name derives from the valley of Imaal. Resolute and witty with great courage when called, otherwise gentle and docile. 35-36 cm at shoulder height is the maximum height for dogs and bitches.
11. Gordon Setter: Stylish dog with galloping lines. Consistent with its build, which can be compared to a hunter who carries weight. Symmetrical in conformation throughout. Smart, capable and dignified. Bold, outgoing, with a gentle and uniform disposition. Height: dogs: 66 cm; bitches: 62 cm. Weight: dogs: 29.5 kg;  bitches: 25.5 kg.
12. Irish Red and White Setter: Strong and powerful; athletic rather than cheeky. Obedient, highly intelligent, good worker. Happy, humorous and affectionate. Males with 62 to 66cm to the withers. Females with 57 to 61cm.
13. Irish Wolfhound: Large in size, strong, symmetry and dominant in appearance, very muscular but gracefully built. Of great power, activity, speed and courage. Gentle, kind and friendly nature.  Tallest of all breeds. Minimum height for dogs: 79 cm, bitches: 71 cm. Minimum weight: 54.5 kg for dogs, 40.9 kg for female dogs. Large size, including height at withers and proportionate body length should be aimed for, and it is desirable to firmly establish a breed that should average 81-86 cm in males.
14. King Charles Spaniel: Refined, compact and stocky. Happy, intelligent, toy spaniel, with distinct domed head. Reserved, kind and affectionate. Weight: 3.6-6.3 kg. Do not confuse with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. They are different breeds and the Cavalier is not at risk.
15. Kerry Blue Terrier: Elegant, close-knit and proportioned, well-developed and muscular body. A compact and powerful Terrier, showing gracefulness and an attitude of alert determination, with defined Terrier style and character throughout. Ideal height: dogs: 46-48 cm on the shoulder;  bitches a little smaller. The most desirable weight for a fully developed dog is 15 to 17 kg, and bitches should weigh proportionately less, but 16 kg is the most desirable weight to achieve.
16. Lakeland terrier: Smart, practical, well balanced and compact.  Cheerful and fearless demeanour, sharp expression, quick movements, tiptoeing in anticipation. Bold, friendly and self-assured. Height not exceeding 37 cm at the shoulder. Average weight: dogs: 8 kg;  bitches: 7 kg.

Procurei algumas e para irei falar sobre as raças que estão em perigo de acordo com o Kennel Club do Reino Unido. Talvez você possa decidir ter uma dessas ao invés de comprar uma raça da moda!! Vou compartilhar algumas fotos no Instagram, para vocês verem como são lindos esses cães !!

9. Fox terrier (pelo liso): Ativo e vivo, ossatura e força em um pequeno compasso, nunca desajeitado ou grosseiro. Pernas nem muito longas nem muito curtas, parecendo um caçador bem feito de costas curtas, cobrindo muito terreno. Alerta, movimento rápido, expressão aguçada, na ponta dos pés da expectativa. Amigável, acessível e destemido. Altura na cernelha não superior a 39 cm em machos, fêmeas um pouco menores. Peso: machos 7,5-8 kg, cadelas 7-7,5 kg.
10. Glen of Imaal Terrier: Tamanho médio com pelagem de comprimento médio, grande resistência com impressão de substância máxima para o tamanho do cão. Corpo mais longo do que alto. Ativo, ágil e silencioso ao trabalhar. Nativo do condado de Wicklow, seu nome deriva do vale de Imaal. Resoluto e espirituoso com grande coragem quando chamado, de outra forma gentil e dócil. 35-36 cms na altura do ombro é a altura máxima para cães e cadelas.
11. Gordon Setter: Cachorro estiloso, com linhas a galope.  Consistente com sua construção, que pode ser comparada a um caçador que carrega peso. Simétrico em conformação por toda parte. Inteligente, capaz e digno. Ousado, extrovertido, de disposição gentil e uniforme. Altura: cães: 66 cms;  cadelas: 62 cms.  Peso: cães: 29,5 kg;  cadelas: 25,5 kg.
12. Setter Irlandês vermelho e branco: Forte e poderoso; atlético em vez de atrevido. Obediente, altamente inteligente, bom trabalhador. Feliz, bem humorado e carinhoso. Machos com 62 a 66cm até a cernelha. Fêmeas com 57 a 61cm. 
13. Wolfhound irlandês: De grande tamanho, força, simetria e aparência dominante, muito musculoso, mas graciosamente construído. De grande poder, atividade, velocidade e coragem. Natureza gentil, amável e amigável. A mais alta de todas as raças. Altura mínima para cães: 79 cms, cadelas: 71 cms. Peso mínimo: 54,5 kg para cães, 40,9 kg para cadelas. Grande tamanho, incluindo altura da cernelha e comprimento proporcional do corpo deve ser visado, e é desejável estabelecer firmemente uma raça que deve ter uma média de 81-86 cm em machos.
14. King Charles Spaniel: Refinado, compacto e atarracado. Feliz, inteligente, spaniel pequeno, com cabeça abobadada distinta. Reservado, gentil e afetuoso. Peso: 3,6-6,3 kg. Não confunda com a raça Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. São raças distintas e o Cavalier não está em risco.
15. Kerry Blue Terrier: Elegante, bem unido e proporcionado, corpo bem desenvolvido e musculoso. Terrier compacto e poderoso, mostrando graciosidade e uma atitude de determinação alerta, com estilo e caráter de Terrier definidos por toda parte. Altura ideal: cães: 46-48 cms no ombro;  cadelas um pouco menores. O peso mais desejável para um cão totalmente desenvolvido é de 15 a 17 kg, e as cadelas devem pesar proporcionalmente menos, mas 16 kg é o peso mais desejável a se atingir.
16. Lakeland terrier: Inteligente, prático, bem equilibrado e compacto. Comportamento alegre e destemido, expressão aguda, movimentos rápidos, na ponta dos pés da expectativa. Ousado, amigável e autoconfiante. Altura não superior a 37 cms no ombro. Peso médio: cães: 8 kg;  cadelas: 7 kgs.

🇧🇷 32 raças raras de cães. Parte 1 de 4

Esta semana (26 de agosto) tivemos o Dia Mundial do Cão. Existem algumas raças que são raras. Procurei algumas e para começar irei falar sobre as raças que estão em perigo de acordo com o Kennel Club do Reino Unido. Talvez você possa decidir ter uma dessas ao invés de comprar uma raça da moda!! Vou compartilhar algumas fotos no Instagram, para vocês verem como são lindos esses cachorros !!

1. Bearded Collie: cão magro e ativo, mais comprido do que alto, em uma proporção aproximada de 5 a 4, medido da ponta do peito até a ponta da nádega. As fêmeas podem ser um pouco mais longas. Embora de construção robusta, deve mostrar bastante luz do dia sob o corpo e não deve parecer muito pesado. A expressão brilhante e inquiridora é uma característica distintiva. Alerta, animado, confiante e ativo. Cão de trabalho estável e inteligente, sem sinais de nervosismo ou agressividade. Altura ideal: machos: 53-56 cm;  fêmeas: 51-53 cm.
2. Bull Terrier (miniatura): Fortemente construído, musculoso, bem equilibrado e ativo com uma expressão afiada, determinada e inteligente. Corajoso, cheio de espírito, com uma atitude divertida. Uma característica única é uma cabeça em forma de ovo virada para baixo. Independentemente do tamanho, os machos devem parecer masculinos e as fêmeas femininas. De temperamento uniforme e sujeito à disciplina. Embora teimoso, ele é particularmente bom com as pessoas. A altura não deve exceder 35,5 cm. Deve haver uma impressão de substância em relação ao tamanho do cão. Não há limite de peso. O cão deve estar sempre equilibrado.
3. Bloodhound (cão de santo Humberto): Expressão nobre e digna, caracterizada pela solenidade, sabedoria e poder. Possui em grau mais acentuado todos os pontos e características daqueles cães que caçam juntos pelo cheiro (Sagaces). Muito poderoso, pisando mais fundo do que o normal com cães de outras raças. Pele relativamente solta. Afetuoso, nem brigão com companheiros nem com outros cães. Um pouco reservado e sensível.  Altura dos machos adultos: 66 cm;  fêmeas: 61 cm.  Os machos geralmente variam de 63-69 cm;  Fêmeas de 58-63 cm. Peso médio de machos adultos em boas condições 41 kg;  fêmeas: 36 kg. Os machos atingem um peso de 50 kg;  fêmeas: 45,5 kg. Cães de altura e peso máximos são preferidos, desde que qualidade, proporção e equilíbrio sejam combinados.
4. Collie (smooth): Parece dotado de inteligência, alerta e atividade. É sustentado dignamente por uma formação anatômica perfeita, sem partes desproporcionais, que dão a aparência de capacidade de trabalho. Estrutura física em linhas de força e atividade, livre de imperfeições e sem traços de aspereza. Disposição amigável sem nenhum traço de nervosismo ou agressão. Altura: machos: 56-61 cm no ombro;  fêmeas: 51-56 cm no ombro.  Peso: Cães: 20,5-29,5 kg;  mulheres: 18-25 kg.
5. Dandie Dinmont Terrier: Cabeça característica com bela cobertura sedosa, com olhos grandes, sábios e inteligentes que compensam o corpo longo, baixo e de doninha. Pernas curtas e fortes; pêlo impermeável. Independente, muito inteligente, determinado, persistente, sensível, afetuoso e digno. A altura na cernelha deve ser de 20-28 cm, o comprimento da cernelha até a raiz da cauda não deve ser mais do que o dobro da altura, mas preferencialmente 1-2 polegadas menos. Peso: 8-11 kg para cães em boas condições de trabalho. Os pesos mais baixos são preferidos.
6. Deerhound: Assemelha-se a um galgo de pêlo grosso de tamanho e ossos maiores. A estrutura sugere a combinação única de velocidade, força e resistência necessária para derrubar um cervo, mas o porte geral é de dignidade gentil. Educado e simpático. Obediente e fácil de treinar porque tem vontade de agradar. Dócil e bem-humorado, nunca desconfiado, agressivo ou nervoso. Ele se comporta com uma dignidade silenciosa. Altura: machos: altura mínima desejável na cernelha 76 cm;  fêmeas: 71 cm.  Peso: machos: cerca de 45,5 kg;  fêmeas: cerca de 36,5 kg.
7. Setter Inglês: De altura média, contornos claros, elegante em aparência e movimento. O setter inglês de trabalho pode ser proporcionalmente mais leve na construção.  Muito ativo com um aguçado sentido de jogo. Intensamente amigável e bem-humorado.  Altura: machos: 65-69 cm;  fêmeas: 61-65 cm.
8. Toy Terrier Inglês (preto e castanho): Bem equilibrado, elegante e compacto, elegante e de construção limpa. Alerta, lembrando que historicamente ele poderia se portar satisfatoriamente numa cova dos ratos. Terriers são cães de caça a pequenos animais. O Toy Terrier nunca é excessivamente nervoso.  Peso ideal 2,7-3,6 kg.  Altura ideal 25-30 cm no ombro.

🇬🇧 32 rare dog breeds. Part 1 of 4

This week (August 26th) we had World Dog Day. There are some breeds that are rare. I have looked for a few and to begin with I will talk about the breeds that are in danger according to the UK Kennel Club. Maybe you can decide to have one of these instead of buying a trendy breed!! I will share some photos on Instagram, so you can see how beautiful these dogs are!!

1. Bearded Collie: Lean active dog, longer than tall in an approximate proportion of 5 to 4, measured from the tip of the chest to the tip of the buttock. Females can be slightly longer. Although sturdy in build, it should show plenty of daylight under the body and shouldn't feel too heavy. The bright and inquiring expression is a distinguishing feature. Alert, lively, confident and active. Stable, intelligent working dog with no signs of nervousness or aggression. Ideal height: dogs: 53-56 cm;  females: 51-53 cm.
2. Bull Terrier (miniature): Strongly built, muscular, well balanced and active with a sharp, determined and intelligent expression. Brave, full of spirit, with a fun-loving attitude. A unique feature is a downward-facing egg-shaped head. Regardless of size, dogs should appear masculine and females feminine. Of uniform temperament and amenable to discipline. Although stubborn, he is particularly good with people. The height must not exceed 35.5 cm. There should be an impression of substance with respect to the size of the dog. There is no weight limit. The dog should always be balanced.
3. Bloodhound: Noble and dignified expression, characterised by solemnity, wisdom and power. It possesses in a more marked degree every point and characteristic of those dogs which hunt together by scent (Sagaces). Very powerful, standing on more ground than usual with hounds of other breeds. Relatively loose skin. Affectionate, neither quarrelsome with companions nor with other dogs. A little reserved and sensitive. Height of adult dogs: 66 cm; females: 61 cm. Dogs usually range from 63-69cm; 58-63 cm females. Average weight of adult dogs in fair condition 41 kg;  females: 36 kg. Dogs reach a weight of 50 kg; females: 45.5 kg. Dogs of maximum height and weight are preferred as long as quality, proportion and balance are combined.
4. Collie (smooth): Appears gifted with intelligence, alertness and activity. It is dignifiedly supported by a perfect anatomical formation, without disproportionate parts, which give the appearance of working capacity. Physical structure on lines of force and activity, free from clumsiness and without a trace of coarseness. Friendly disposition with no trace of nervousness or aggression. Height: Dogs: 56-61cm at the shoulder; females: 51-56 cm at the shoulder. Weight: Dogs: 20.5-29.5kg;  females: 18-25 kg.
5. Dandie Dinmont Terrier: Characteristic head with nice silky coverage, with large, wise and intelligent eyes that offset the long, low, weasel body. Short and strong legs; weatherproof coat. Independent, highly intelligent, determined, persistent, sensitive, affectionate and dignified. The height at the withers should be 20-28 cm, the length from the withers to the root of the tail should not be more than double the height, but preferably 1-2 inches less. Weight: 8-11 kg for dogs in good working condition. The lower weights preferred.
6. Deerhound: Resembles a coarse-haired greyhound of larger size and bones. The structure suggests the unique combination of speed, power, and stamina needed to take down a deer, but the overall bearing is one of gentle dignity. Polite and friendly. Obedient and easy to train because he is eager to please. Docile and good-natured, never suspicious, aggressive or nervous. He behaves with quiet dignity. Height: Dogs: minimum desirable height at the withers 76 cm;  females: 71 cm. Weight: dogs: about 45.5 kg;  females: about 36.5 kg.
7. English Setter: Of medium height, clear in contours, elegant in appearance and movement. The working English setter can be proportionally lighter in construction. Very active with a keen sense of play.  Intensely friendly and good-natured. Height: Dogs: 65-69cm;  females: 61-65 cm.
8. English Toy Terrier (black and tan): Well balanced, elegant and compact, sleek and cleanly built. Alert, remembering that historically he could acquit himself satisfactorily in the rat pit. Never unduly nervous. Ideal weight 2.7-3.6 kg. Ideal height 25-30 cm at the shoulder.

🇬🇧 5 golden tips for adapting to a new city

Moving to a different place, where we may not know anyone, is a challenge. If we don’t speak the language it can be scary. But it can be the best thing we can do for ourselves, a wonderful experience. This text is to share some tips to make your experience in a new city or country the best it can be, help you get around the loneliness in your new home and expand your social circles.

1. Use the internet to keep in touch with the friends you already have so you don’t feel lonely where you don’t have friendship with anyone. If you speak the local language, you can also use the internet to meet people who live in the same city or who have similar interests in other parts of the world, expanding your social circles.
2. If you don’t know the language, try to learn. I learned English first because I think there will be people everywhere who speak the language and because most of the foreign music I liked when I started studying languages was in English and I wanted to understand them (if you’re new here, my native language is Portuguese). I keep learning others. And if you don’t speak any foreign language, first learn the language of the place you’re going to live.
3. Cultivate independence. For some people it may seem difficult and scary, but it’s a lot easier than it sounds. Going out on your own to go to a museum, to the cinema, to musical shows... are ways of getting familiar with your new home, warding off loneliness, being part of that environment. As a bonus, guaranteed cultural enrichment.
4. Don’t be looking for familiar things, people and flavours all the time. Live the experience of being in a different place entirely.
5. Create your own paths. Every person is unique and every experience is unique. I lived in a few different cities and each experience was different from the others and I followed different paths to enjoy the experience and to leave those places to new destinations. While my experiences can be helpful, you must live yours, make your own choices, learn from them.

Mudar para um lugar diferente, onde talvez não conheçamos ninguém, é um desafio. Se não falamos o idioma pode ser assustador. Mas pode ser a melhor coisa que podemos fazer por nós mesmos, uma experiência maravilhosa. Este texto é para compartilhar algumas dicas pra tornar sua experiência em uma nova cidade ou país a melhor possível, te ajudar a driblar a solidão no novo lar e ampliar seus círculos sociais.

1. Use a internet para manter contato com os amigos que você já tem pra não se sentir só onde não tem amizade com ninguém. Se você fala o idioma local, também pode usar a internet para conhecer gente que viva na mesma cidade ou que tenha interesses semelhantes em outras partes do mundo, ampliando seus círculos sociais.
2. Se não souber o idioma, procure aprender. Eu aprendi inglês primeiro porque penso que em todo lugar vai ter gente que fale o idioma e porque a maioria das músicas estrangeiras que eu gostava quando comecei a estudar idiomas era em inglês e eu queria entendê-las (se você chegou aqui agora, minha língua nativa é o português). Continuo aprendendo outros. E se você não fala nenhum idioma estrangeiro, aprenda primeiro o do lugar que você for morar.
3. Cultive a independência. Para algumas pessoas pode parecer difícil e assustador, mas é bem mais fácil do que parece. Sair sozinho para ir a um museu, ao cinema, a shows musicais... são meios de familiarizar-se com seu novo lar, espantar a solidão, fazer parte daquele ambiente. De bônus, enriquecimento cultural garantido.
4. Não fique buscando coisas, pessoas e sabores familiares o tempo todo. Viva a experiência de estar num lugar diferente por inteiro. 
5. Desbrave seus próprios caminhos. Cada pessoa é única e cada experiência é única. Eu vivi em algumas cidades diferentes e cada experiência foi diferente das outras e segui caminhos diferentes pra desfrutar a experiência e para sair daqueles lugares para novos destinos. Embora minhas experiências possam ser úteis, você deve viver as suas, fazer suas próprias escolhas, aprender com elas.

🇬🇧 10 advantages of starting a business abroad

This month I'm writing more about art and culture, but as some content on these topics requires research that takes some time, today I'm going to talk about ten advantages of creating a company in another country or migrating to a different country as a self-employed professional. Because one of the advantages - for me, one of the main ones - has everything to do with art and culture. I could make a very long list, but I'll limit myself to ten after the recent text on Brazilian music was immense (and great! Read it! Or go straight to my Spotify profile and listen to the playlists separated by country of origin of the music's artists, because the playlists are also great and will get even better).

1. Cultural enrichment and personal growth. Knowing different cultures closely brings these two advantages that are related to each other. Of course, for some it can happen to have only one or the other, but I think that for every person with an open mind both advantages go together.
2. You can get a second passport in several countries after some time of successful activity in the country. Usually from 5 to 10 years, but I know from a country that after two years you have permanent residence, which is already very good!
3. You can learn a new language! Or more than one if you go to places with more than one official language like Belgium, Switzerland (which has 4 official languages) or the part of Finland with more Swedish influence (some Finnish cities like Vaasa have a large number of speakers of swedish, which can help you learn both of the country's official languages).
4. You can choose to work in a country where it is easier to find skilled labor. Not all countries have a culture of excellence and without it it is difficult to maintain a business focused on excellence (like creating a luxury company).
5. You can choose to work in a country where fees are lower.
6. You can choose to work in a country where fees are higher and benefits are higher.
7. You can go to a country where people are more welcoming or go to a country where people respect your personal space according to your preference.
8. You can choose a country where you find the best suppliers for your company.
9. You can choose a country where people are willing to pay more for what you offer (where your work is valued more).
10. You can raise your children (if and when you have them) in a country where the local culture encourages the formation of more independent and creative individuals.

Este mês estou escrevendo mais sobre arte e cultura, mas como alguns conteúdos sobre esses temas demandam pesquisa que leva algum tempo, hoje vou falar de dez vantagens de criar uma empresa em outro país ou migrar para um país diferente como profissional autônomo. Porque uma das vantagens - pra mim, uma das principais - tem tudo a ver com arte e cultura. 1. Enriquecimento cultural e crescimento pessoal. Conhecer culturas diferentes de perto traz essas duas vantagens que são relacionadas entre si. Claro que para alguns pode acontecer de ter só uma ou outra, mas penso que pra toda pessoa com a cabeça aberta ambas as vantagens estão juntas.
2. Você pode conseguir, em vários países, um segundo passaporte após algum tempo de atividade bem sucedida no país. Geralmente de 5 a 10 anos, mas sei de um país que com dois anos você tem a residência permanente, o que já é muito bom!
3. Você pode aprender um novo idioma! Ou mais de um se for para lugares com mais de um idioma oficial como a Bélgica, a Suíça (que tem 4 idiomas oficiais) ou a parte da Finlândia com maior influência sueca (algumas cidades finlandesas, como Vaasa têm um grande número de falantes do sueco, o que pode ajudar a aprender ambos os idiomas oficiais do país).
4. Você pode escolher trabalhar em um país onde seja mais fácil achar mão de obra qualificada. Nem todos os países têm uma cultura de excelência e sem ela é difícil manter um negócio focado em excelência (como criar uma empresa de luxo).
5. Você pode escolher trabalhar num país onde as taxas sejam menores.
6. Você pode escolher trabalhar em um país onde as taxas sejam maiores e os benefícios também.
7. Você pode ir para um país onde as pessoas sejam mais acolhedoras ou ir para um país onde as pessoas respeitem seu espaço pessoal conforme sua preferência.
8. Você pode escolher um país onde você encontre os melhores fornecedores para sua empresa.
9. Você pode escolher um país em que as pessoas queiram pagar mais pelo que você oferece (onde seu trabalho seja mais valorizado).
10. Você pode criar seus filhos (se e quando os tiver) num país em que a cultura local encoraje a formação de indivíduos mais independentes e criativos.

Today is the day to talk about some Brazilian musicians and composers that are worth getting to know for an immersion in the best part of Brazilian culture. Although the list is numbered, it is not an order of importance. I won't go into the merits of agreeing or disagreeing with the content of the songs of some of the artists who have socially and politically critical music. I believe that music, as with fashion, tends to be a reflection of its time and is certainly a reflection of the artists' experiences, even in the cases of artists who create a character for the stage. The songs have their original names, sometimes with translation to english between parenthesis.

1. Chiquinha Gonzaga. Germany has Clara Schurman, Brazil has Chiquinha Gonzaga, who is not one bit behind Clara in courage and daring. Her music is also very significant. Perhaps music is that perfect form of expression for strong, avant-garde people. One of her best-known songs is “Atraente” (attractive).
2. Heitor Villa-Lobos. Another with compositions rich in beauty and sensitivity. He dedicated himself to creating classical music with a very Brazilian identity. He composed, among others, the “Bachianas Brasileiras”.
3. Pixinguinha. His best known song is “Carinhoso” (tender).
4. Ary Barroso. He composed, among others, “Aquarela do Brasil”.
5. Noel Rosa. One of the great voices of the past. Author of songs such as “Com que roupa” (with what clothes) and “arranjei um fraseado” (I got a phrasing).
6. Cartola. One of the greatest Brazilian samba singers. Author of hits like “as rosas não falam” (the roses don't talk).
7. Luiz Gonzaga. The king of the baião. It's almost impossible to hear his songs without dancing (if you're not Brazilian, read the other posts I wrote about the parties of June and plan your trip now to learn how to dance baião and forró in the most traditional Brazilian parties. Sing songs like “A vida do viajante” (the life of a traveler), “asa branca” (White Wing) and “pagode russo” (Russian Pagoda).
8. Adoniran Barbosa. Author of several sambas from the past, including “Saudosa Maloca” and “Trem das onze” (“train of eleven o’clock”, one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar).
9. Vinicius de Moraes. If you've never heard “Girl from Ipanema” you don't know anything about Brazil. And this is just one of the poetinha's many successes (the original name of the song is “garota de Ipanema”).
10. Lupicínio Rodrigues. He composed, among other successes, the anthem of his favourite football team, Grêmio de Porto Alegre. A beautiful song with characteristics of strong gaucho music.
11. Dorival Caymmi. He composed, among other hits, “O que que a baiana tem”, immortalized in the voice of Carmen Miranda.
12. Tim Maia. Author of hits that span different generations. You will hardly meet a Brazilian who has never heard songs by Tim Maia such as “gostava tanto de você” (I liked you so much), “Descobridor dos sete mares”, “do Leme ao Pontal” or “Primavera” (spring), among others.
13. Tom Jobim. Another one of those mandatory names. Author of great hits such as “Girl from Ipanema” (in partnership with Vinícius de Morais) and “Só tinha de ser com você”, among others.
14. Joao Gilberto. The creator of Bossa Nova. He composed, among other hits, “Sampa” and “Chega de Saudade”.
15. Baden Powell.  Author of hits such as “Canto de Ossanha”.
16. Roberto Carlos. Most of his fans have aged with him. In his youth he was the king of the Young Guard. Nowadays he composes romantic songs and performs for audiences of mature people.
17. Erasmo Carlos. One of the pioneers of Brazilian rock. Author of hits such as “é preciso saber viver” (It's necessary to know how to live), “Gatinha Manhosa”, “é proibido fumar” (It's forbidden to smoke) and others, several of them re-recorded by other artists like Skank, Titãs and Léo Jaime.
18. Gilberto Gil. Author of hits such as “Esperando na Janela” (from the soundtrack of the movie “Eu, Tu, Eles”), “aquele abraço”, “toda menina baiana” (Every Bahian girl), “Andar com fé”, and “Sítio do Pica-Pau Amarelo” which was the opening song of the television series based on the children's work by Monteiro Lobato.
19. Milton Nascimento. Nicknamed Bituca. One of the most beautiful male voices in Brazilian music. His career is full of beautiful hits such as “canção da America” (Song of America), “quem sabe isso quer dizer amor” (Maybe that means love), “coração de estudante” (Student heart), “tudo que você podia ser” (Everything you could be), “nos bailes da vida”, “caçador de mim” (Hunter of me), “fé cega, faca amolada” (Blind Faith, sharp knife) and many others. Required in any good Brazilian music playlist. Listen without moderation!
20. Caetano Veloso. A well-known name in Brazilian music, he is the author of hits such as “Sozinho”, “Alegria, Alegria”, “London, London”, “A luz de Tieta”, among others.
21. Chico Buarque. His biggest hits were composed in the 70s. He is almost 80 years old. He composed, among others, “o que será”, “apesar de você” (despite you), “construção” (Construction), “cálice” and “cotidiano”.
22. Maria Bethania. Owner of a beautiful voice, one of her great successes is “onde estará o meu amor”.
23. Belchior. Among the compositions you should listen to are “apenas um rapaz latino americano” (Just a Latin American Boy) and “como nossos pais” (Like Our Parents). 
24. Alceu Valença. Among his greatest hits are “Morena Tropicana” and “La belle de Jeur”.
25. Toquinho. A soft voice very familiar to Brazilians over thirty years of age as the composer and performer of “Aquarela”, which in the 1980s was the soundtrack of the advertising campaign for a brand of school products such as coloured pencils.
26. Djavan. Author of hits like “se...” (If...), “nem um dia” (Not a day), “eu te devoro” (I devour you), “meu bem querer” and “Oceano” (ocean).
27. Rita Lee. She started as the female voice of “Os Mutantes”, currently works as a soloist. Among her greatest hits are “Ovelha negra” (black sheep), “desculpe o auê”, “balada do louco” (“Ballad of the madman” with Os Mutantes) and “Ti ti ti”.
28. Cazuza. One of the best known names in Brazilian rock in the 80s. Like Freddie Mercury, he died young of AIDS. Among his hits are “Codinome Beija-Flor”, “exagerado” (Exaggerated), “o tempo não para” (Time doesn't stop), “faz parte do meu show” (It's part of my show), “Ideologia” (ideology) and “Bete Balanço”.
29. Renato Russo. Another great Brazilian artist taken by AIDS. Most of his successes were with the band Legião Urbana, although he has recorded solo albums. “Equilíbrio Distante”, despite its Portuguese name, is an album of songs in Italian. “The Stonewall celebration concert” is all in English. Among the songs in Portuguese stand out “Pais e Filhos”, “Eduardo e Mônica”, “mais uma vez” (Once more), “meninos e meninas” (Boys and Girls) among many others.
30. Marisa Monte. One of the most beautiful female voices in Brazil. Her hits include “vilarejo” (village), “cama” (bed), “na estrada” (On the road), “a sua” and many others.
31. Jorge Benjor. Author of hits such as “Chove chuva” (rain rain), “País tropical” (Tropical country) and “menina mulher da pele preta”.
32. Elis Regina. Her beautiful voice is in big hits such as “o bêbado e a equilibrista” (The drunk and the tightrope walker), “Como nossos pais” (Like our parents) and “Arrastão”.
33. Raul Seixas. He composed hits such as “Gita”, “Metamorfose ambulante” (Walking Metamorphosis), “Eu nasci há dez mil anos atrás” (I was born ten thousand years ago), “Medo da Chuva” (Fear of the Rain) and “Sapato 36” (Shoe 36. 36 is the smaller size for adult shoes in Brazil).
34. Hermeto Pascoal. Among his hits are “nem um talvez” (with Miles Davis) and “Pernambuco falando para o mundo” (Pernambuco speaking to the world).
35. Sivuca. Famous accordionist, conductor and multi-instrumentalist, his repertoire includes songs like “Feira de Mangaio” and “Adeus, Maria Fulô”.
36. Ney Matogrosso. Between his work with the group “Secos e molhados” and his solo career, at the age of 80, the artist has in his repertoire songs such as “Tigresa”, “que fim levaram todas as flores” and “Por debaixo dos panos” (under the covers).
37. Carmen Miranda. She was born in Portugal, but Brazilians don't care about that. For a long time she was the face of Brazil to the world. Among the famous songs we have “Disseram que voltei americanizada” (they said I came back americanized), “O que que a baiana tem” (what the baiana has) and “Arca de Noé” (Noah's ark).
38. Ze Ramalho. He has hits like “Chão de giz” (Chalk Floor), “Avôhai”, “Entre a serpente e a estrela” (Between the Serpent and the Star) and “Admirável gado novo” (Admirable New Cattle) and an unmistakable voice.
39. Lulu Santos. A Brazilian rock star of the 80's, he has among his biggest hits “apenas mais uma de amor”, “Um certo alguém”(a certain someone), and “Como uma onda” (like a wave).
40. Clara Nunes. My earliest musical memories have the voice of Clara Nunes singing “Morena de Angola”. But she also sang “O mar serenou” (the sea calmed), “Guerreira” (warrior) and many others.
41. Martinho da Vila. One of the most famous names in samba. Among his famous songs are “Madalena do Jucú”, “Devagar, devagarinho” and “canta, canta minha gente”.
42. Lô Borges. One of the founders of Clube da Esquina, a group of artists from Minas Gerais that marked Brazilian music in the 70s and 80s. His repertoire includes hits such as “Trem de doido” and “O trem azul” (the blue train).
43. Herbert Vianna. He began to be successful on the national scene in the 80s and not even an accident in 2001 that left him paraplegic took him out of the picture. Along with the band “Os Paralamas do Sucesso” there are songs like “Oculos”, a hit from the 80's (which a TV network used in an article I participated in my days as a personal stylist talking about... glasses!), “Lourinha Bombril ”, “Saber amar”, and the beautiful “seja você” (“be yourself”, that song that only tells the truth).
44. Sepultura. Band originally formed by brothers Igor and Max Cavalera, Paulo Júnior and Wagner Lamounier. The best-known line-up is the first three members and Andreas Kisser, who joined as second guitarist when Max took over the vocals after Lamounier left. The lineup changed and today has the American Derrik Green on vocals and no Cavalera, but the band continues to be a reference around the world. Like Villa-Lobos, they brought a Brazilian identity to music. Not classical music, but metal.
45. Gonzaguinha. Son of Luiz Gonzaga, he followed a different musical path. There are songs like “Eu apenas queria que você soubesse” (I just wish you knew), “Um homem também chora” (A man cries too) and “Não dá mais pra segurar” (I can't hold on anymore).

For foreigners, I notice that many songs by the above artists are difficult to translate because they use possible symbolisms in the Portuguese language to refer to something. Mainly those hits from the period of the dictatorship in Brazil, but other songs that have nothing to criticise the government can also be difficult to understand. Try to understand the origins of each song and its main theme by artist rather than looking for translations. Or just listen without worrying about what they say.
