🇧🇷 Doces: Black Fruit Cake (Belize)

Hoje vamos conhecer um bolo que as famílias em Belize costumam preparar na época do Natal. Belize é um pequeno país na América Central, não muito distante de Cancún, no México. A receita é o Black Fruit Cake. Esse bolo contém rum (bebida alcoólica). Não é recomendada para crianças e adolescentes.

Ingredientes:

• 907g (2 lb) de farinha
• 453g (1 lb) de manteiga
• 1,36kg (3 lb) de açúcar mascavo (separe 453g - 1 lb - de açúcar para as frutas)
• 473ml (1 pt) de cerveja preta
• 236ml (1/2 pt) de corante caramelo
• 946ml (1 qt) de rum
• 453g (1 lb) de passas
• 453g (1 lb) de groselha
• 453g (1 lb) de cidra
• 453g (1 lb) de tâmaras
• 453g (1 lb) de cerejas
• 453g (1 lb) de cascas mistas (posto a receita no próximo texto)
• 453 g (1 lb) de nozes/pecãs
• 8 ovos
• 1 colher de chá de fermento em pó
• 1 colher de chá de pimenta da Jamaica
• 1 colher de chá de noz-moscada

Modo de fazer:

1. Mergulhe as frutas em rum e açúcar por pelo menos 7 dias antes de fazer o bolo.
2. Separe um pouco de farinha para usar nas frutas antes de adicionar à massa. Isso evita que as frutas se depositem no fundo do bolo.
3. Bata a manteiga e o açúcar até ficar leve e fofo. Adicione os ovos um a um, batendo sempre. Adicione a farinha, o fermento e as especiarias à mistura de manteiga, açúcar e ovos com uma colher.  Em seguida, adicione a cerveja e o corante à mistura. Bata por cerca de 4 minutos em velocidade alta. Em um prato separado, despeje o rum das frutas. (O rum deve ser mantido para adicionar ao bolo acabado após o resfriamento). Enfarinhe as frutas e adicione à massa.
4. Aqueça o forno a 148° C (300ºF). Forre a assadeira com papel alumínio ou papel manteiga. Unte levemente com manteiga. Coloque a massa uniformemente na forma untada com manteiga cerca de 3/4 cheia. Asse em forno lento por cerca de 3 horas. Insira o palito no centro e ele deve sair limpo quando terminar.
5. Quando o bolo estiver completamente frio, borrife rum por toda a superfície. Decore com cerejas e nozes.

If you, like me, love dogs and are considering moving to another country and getting your dog or acquiring one in your new home, be aware that some countries charge a fee to have a dog. Today I'm going to talk about one of them, the Netherlands. In some cities this tax is no longer charged. Below I list the provincial capitals of the country, the most populous city in each province when it is not the capital and the amount of the tax for owners of only one dog in each city in 2022. The values ​​are different for those with two or more dogs and for breeders. In 2023 these prices ​​can change. Cities that do not charge the tax in the list below are exempt from it regardless of how many dogs you have.

Some cities have specific areas where you can walk your dog off the leash - outside of these, a leash is mandatory. It is also mandatory to collect the faeces of the animal, among other rules. Violation of local regulations on the movement of dogs in public areas may result in a penalty.
