Taking an example of low-skilled jobs: between frying burgers in a diner or selling shoes, which do you prefer? Which one is more in line with the future you want? I don't expect or recommend that you spend your entire life frying burgers or selling shoes. And for starters there are other options too, but I've limited it to two for simplicity.

My work is geared towards personal and professional development. If you can't get any satisfaction from "entry" jobs in a particular industry, how do you plan to develop there? Perhaps it is a sign that you are on the wrong path, or you are creating exaggerated expectations, wanting your dream job right away, effortlessly, without building your own brand. This, in most cases, is an illusion. A footballer who is worth millions does not make millions from the day he starts playing. A musician is unlikely to go on a world tour without solid author work and a good image and career management. A seed does not bear fruit, it must be planted, cultivated, grow, blossom and only then bear fruit. Life doesn't change at the speed of a click, although many things can change in a single day.

It must also be said that no degree will guarantee you a job, but ignoring the importance of a degree for many careers is also an unwise choice.

Doing a job you enjoy means enjoying the learning that that job offers to get to where you want to be. It means taking responsibility as an adult and offering your best on the terms negotiated with your employer. For this, it is necessary to exercise self-knowledge.

Acredito que todos nós (exceto as pessoas preguiçosas que não querem trabalho nenhum) podemos fazer trabalhos que gostamos em qualquer fase da carreira. Fazer um trabalho que gostamos é diferente de ter o trabalho dos sonhos, mas é um passo importante no processo para chegar a ele. Dando um exemplo de trabalhos de baixa qualificação: entre fritar hambúrguer numa lanchonete ou vender sapatos, qual você prefere? Qual está mais alinhado ao futuro que você quer? Eu não espero nem recomendo que você passe a vida toda fritando hambúrguer ou vendendo sapatos. E mesmo para iniciantes existem outras opções, mas limitei a duas para simplificar.

Meu trabalho é orientado para o desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional. Se você não consegue ter alguma satisfação nos trabalhos “de entrada” em uma determinada indústria, como espera desenvolver-se ali? Possivelmente é um sinal que está no caminho errado, ou está criando expectativas exageradas, querendo o trabalho dos sonhos logo de cara, sem esforço, sem construção de sua marca pessoal. Isso, na maioria dos casos, é um delírio. Um jogador de futebol que vale milhões não ganha milhões desde o dia que começa a jogar. Um músico dificilmente vai fazer uma turnê mundial sem um sólido trabalho autoral e uma boa gestão de imagem e carreira. Uma semente não dá frutos, ela tem de ser plantada, cultivada, crescer, florescer, e só então gerar frutos. A vida não muda na velocidade de um clique, embora muita coisa possa mudar em um único dia.

Cabe ainda dizer que diploma nenhum vai te garantir emprego, mas desprezar a importância de um curso superior para muitas carreiras também é uma escolha pouco inteligente.

Fazer um trabalho que goste significa desfrutar do aprendizado oferecido por aquele trabalho para chegar onde você quer. Significa assumir responsabilidades como adulto e oferecer o seu melhor dentro das condições negociadas com seu empregador. Para isso é preciso exercitar o autoconhecimento.

The transition that I am going to talk about today is that of naturally curly women who have straightened their hair in the past and now, in order to return to the natural texture, do more chemical procedures on their hair and spend a long time with it, half straight, half wavy, ugly as hell. Yes, it's ugly. If you can look at yourself in the mirror and feel beautiful with your hair in this state, your aesthetic sense is underdeveloped. I've never seen a single woman look beautiful during the hair transition process. Even considering celebrities.

My way to take care of hair is in the basics. If everyone took care of their hair by cutting regularly, cosmetics companies could invest in quality products for things that really matter, not to help people very attached to hair feed their insecurities.

Não sei se isso é uma febre em outros países como é no Brasil, mas como é possível que seja uma opção em outros lugares publico o texto também em outros idiomas.

Devo observar que no trabalho de styling minha opinião pessoal não tem valor. Tenho plena consciência de que pessoas são diferentes e não obrigo ninguém a fazer mudanças com as quais elas não se sintam confortáveis. A transição que vou falar hoje é a de mulheres naturalmente cacheadas que alisaram o cabelo no passado e agora, visando voltar à textura natural, fazem mais procedimentos químicos no cabelo e passam um longo período com ele meio liso, meio ondulado, feio de doer. Sim, é feio. Se você consegue se olhar no espelho e se sentir linda com o cabelo nesse estado, seu senso estético é pouco desenvolvido. Eu nunca vi uma única mulher que estivesse linda durante o processo de transição capilar. Mesmo considerando as celebridades.

Meu caminho pra cuidar dos cabelos fica no básico. Se todo mundo cuidasse dos cabelos cortando regularmente as empresas de cosméticos poderiam investir em produtos de qualidade para coisas que realmente importam, não para ajudar gente muito apegada a cabelo a alimentar suas inseguranças.

Antes de falar a solução, devo dizer que esse apego aos cabelos longos, mesmo que isso custe a saúde dos fios, foi aprendido, e pode ser desaprendido. Um bom psicólogo pode ser bem útil para desconstruir essa ideia machista de sua cabeça. Mas existe outro jeito que também vou falar abaixo.

A solução rápida, simples e barata para ter seus cabelos com a textura natural sem precisar de química é cortar bem curto ou raspar. Nenhum salão vai te falar isso porque para eles o procedimento químico é mais lucrativo.

Several companies closed their stores in Russia after the invasion of Ukraine. Recently, some Russian public figures made videos cutting their Chanel bags because the brand was one of those that closed its stores in the country. Many people are thinking about the Russian people, who do not necessarily support the invasion, and they forget another important point. It is about this other point that I will speak in this text.

One of the themes of this site is to undertake abroad and if a person decides to open a business in a certain country it may be due to cultural affinities, but it also involves the question of being in favour of the choices made by the government of that country, because when we have a company we pay taxes that fund local government decisions. The same is true when a multinational company has stores in a particular country. Thus, keeping a company in Russia at the present time means supporting the invasion of Ukraine, even if it is an indirect support, as it occurs through the payment of taxes. And considering that taxes are usually a percentage of profit, a luxury company's contribution to a government is quite large.

I will not judge the Russians who tore their bags. Perhaps they were paid by the government for this. Maybe they don't understand this point. There's no way to know.

🇧🇷 O que podemos aprender com a situação atual da Rússia

Várias empresas fecharam suas lojas na Rússia depois da invasão à Ucrânia. Recentemente algumas figuras públicas russas fizeram vídeos cortando suas bolsas Chanel porque a marca foi uma das que fechou suas lojas no país. Muitas pessoas estão pensando no povo russo, que não necessariamente apoia a invasão, e esquecem outro ponto importante. É sobre este outro ponto que vou falar neste texto.

Um dos temas desse site é empreender no exterior e se uma pessoa decide abrir um negócio num determinado país pode ser por afinidades culturais, mas passa também pela questão de ser favorável às escolhas do governo daquele país, pois, quando temos uma empresa pagamos impostos que financiam as decisões do governo local. O mesmo ocorre quando uma empresa multinacional tem lojas em um determinado país. Assim, manter uma empresa na Rússia no momento atual significa apoiar a invasão à Ucrânia, ainda que seja um apoio indireto, pois ocorre através do pagamento de impostos. E considerando que impostos geralmente são um percentual sobre o lucro, a contribuição de uma empresa de luxo a um governo é bem grande.

Não vou julgar as russas que rasgaram suas bolsas. Talvez tenham sido pagas pelo governo para isso. Talvez não entendam esse ponto. Não há como saber. 

O objetivo desse texto é fazer quem pensa em investir em outros países, seja para começar uma empresa ou para ampliá-la, pensar nesse aspecto de avaliar os caminhos e as tendências do governo local, além das afinidades culturais e dos benefícios imediatos.

Quando saímos de um país para estudar ou porque achamos um emprego fora geralmente a motivação é o próprio bem-estar, e, por isso, quem migra por motivos que não sejam investimento ou empreendedorismo não pensa tanto no cenário a longo prazo, e nem sempre tem a consciência de que também eles estão apoiando o governo do seu país de destino.

Se você não apoia o governo do seu país você deve mudar de país? É fácil falar que sim, mas existem fatores que podem dificultar o processo, como apego da pessoa à família, medo do desconhecido, não saber outros idiomas, etc. Para empreendedores também nem sempre é fácil. Mas é como qualquer relacionamento. Se nos faz mal ou vai contra nossa ética pessoal, o ideal é sair desse relacionamento o mais rápido possível.
