๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง How do I know what my style is?

How do I know what my style is? This is a common question that people ask.

Personal style has no labels. It's about knowing yourself and knowing how to use your looks, clothing, hair, makeup, etc. as communication tools.

Does it matter if I stick to one style or if I have many?

Is it acceptable for you today to be talkative and happy and tomorrow to be quiet and not wanting to talk to anyone and express these different emotions through your clothes and appearance? Yes.

Is it acceptable if you dress professionally (and express your best professional qualities through your appearance) at work and wear completely different clothes when you go out with your boyfriend or girlfriend? Yes.

The points for having style are constancy, self-knowledge and strategy in choosing what to wear, as well as knowing how to enhance one's appearance in any situation. When you have consistency, you can have fewer clothes to express more different emotions and qualities in different situations. A leader, an entrepreneur or a public person must frequently make strategic decisions. Any emotionally mature person must also make strategic decisions when choosing what to wear, where to invest, which vacancies to apply for, etc.

With consistency, you can wear one dress in your business capsule wardrobe if you're invited to a cocktail party, for example, knowing the alterations you can make to look different for each occasion. You will not have, through my services, a wardrobe with clothes exclusive for work, another different one to meet your boyfriend or girlfriend, a third one to go out with friends, etc. This is wasteful and there are wiser ways to manage your style. You can have less clothes, with high quality, beautiful designs and knowledge to express yourself with them if you have me as your stylist.

When you dress appropriately for any occasion, you know how to demonstrate your personality, your best qualities and you appreciate your looks, you send messages to your brain that boost your self-confidence. You also message other people about how you see yourself. And if you can't make strategic style choices, the messages you send to others will often be negative.

The way you handle your appearance can also help you handle your feelings more easily and attract people to talk to you, for example. Either having people avoid you or letting your low self-esteem get the better of you.

You know what your style is after hiring me as a stylist and following my advice. I specialise in colours and shapes as non-verbal communication tools. Personal style is a language. It's not just about following fashion trends. A person with style uses fashion trends to mark his/her personal development.
