In this text I will talk about 3 items that every man must have to be well dressed.

I'm Nycka Nunes, a stylist with more than four decades of experience in the fashion industry and I work with personal image as a non-verbal communication tool. And so don't expect shallow approaches from me, which please the masses and are easy for anyone to adopt. What is easy and shallow is vulgar, it has no strength in terms of non-verbal communication. It just presents you as a worthless commodity.

I have already mentioned in previous texts that, for example, black and navy blue suits tend to reflect an excessively conservative image, and, almost always, inconsistent with the personality of those who wear them. Few people are as conservative as that. And that doesn't mean you should go around in a neon green suit. That would be an irrational way of being different.

All over the world there are men who dress in the most varied ways. Most just imitate what their peers wear. And that's not classy. It's vulgar. Bad choices for men who want to dress up. Smart choices consider appearance as a non-verbal communication tool.

A well-dressed man is also a man with a certain level of self-awareness and emotional maturity to not be offended by the first criticism he receives. These two items are essential in your wardrobe and in your life. And maybe you have that personality and don’t dress like the crowd, but do you know what your style choices are communicating about you? Are they saying what you would like?

I'm unlikely to recommend that any customer wear a neon green suit, but neither will I be the one to encourage people to wear what everyone else wears, like navy blue suits worn in ways that lack positive information about the wearer. Every human being is unique. In the case of public figures, who appear frequently in the media or have profiles on social networks with thousands of followers, it is even more important to value their individuality intelligently through their personal style.

Any “tip” with ready-made recipes, on the internet or in conventional media channels, can be read by countless people and loses its ability to be a good choice to strengthen individuality, your personal style. When a person wears a white shirt and jeans in a job interview, (s)he is showing that (s)he is just another candidate. (S)He misses the chance to demonstrate characteristics such as creativity, assertiveness, etc. through their style choices. The same goes for a celebrity and what they choose to wear in their public appearances.

Nobody becomes a public person by chance. And while good taste is something many celebrities and other public figures lack, if you've come this far you're looking for information.
