🇬🇧 7 style mistakes to stop making today

Today I have a list of 7 common style mistakes so you can stop making them today. The fact that they are common does not make them any less wrong. Each mistake indicates at least one negative characteristic of yours that is extolled without you knowing it.

  1. Cheap clothes.
  2. Brand display. If you need to show the brand you wear to feel important you’re not important.
  3. Style as a label. You saw somewhere style labels like “sexy”, “classic”, “boho”, etc and decided that one of those styles, used to describe fashion collections, is your personal style. The same goes for imitating the way artists dress. It's not YOUR style. It's not personal, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself it is.
  4. Thinking that what matters is feeling good. There are ways and ways to feel good and usually those who say that as an excuse for not hiring professional guidance choose the worst. Personal style is a non-verbal communication tool and only with qualified professional guidance is it possible to develop a strong and unique personal style.
  5. Wearing tailored pieces (shirt, blazer, vest and pants, mainly) in inappropriate sizes or tailored pants without adjustments at the hem. I've been talking about this for over 15 years and there are still people who don't understand.
  6. Prioritise comfort in a way that results in a sloppy appearance. It is possible to be stylish and comfortable if you have the proper guidance.
  7. Always wear neutral colours. Contrary to what some media channels preach, black doesn't suit everyone. The same goes for all colours. But the mistake of limiting yourself to neutral colours because you think there's no mistake is the most common one about colours.

Personal style is a non-verbal communication tool and it is necessary to have proper guidance to develop it. Without such guidance, your image can speak badly about you without you realising it. To schedule your style consultation, follow the instructions on the “Services available” page.
