Have you ever visited South Asia or lived in the region? Which of these dishes have you already tasted in its countries of origin? And in restaurants in other parts of the world? How was your experience with these dishes?
I have never been to India, but many years ago, before the internet, I read that Indian food did not contain salt and I was curious. A few years ago I got to ask an Indian chef who lives in Brazil about this and he told me they use less salt than Brazilians. What I know of Indian cuisine in Brazil is very good. Speaking of Indian food in Brazil, did you know that the cow is a sacred animal in India? Not for all religions in the country, but many of the original Indian dishes use other meats or are vegetarians. India is very rich from a gastronomic point of view and I will certainly talk more about there and other countries in the future. Today, Sri Lanka is my biggest curiosity.
