🇬🇧 What is essential?

What is essential? It’s curious the world is living in social isolation (some places in lockdown) and we ask ourselves: what is essential?

First time I went to the supermarket after the social isolation have started here I noticed condensed milk had almost disappeared from the shelves. Ok, brigadeiro, the most delicious dessert in Brazil is made with condensed milk... but... is this essential?

Sometimes I see people saying now we see that football players and artists are not important and doctors and nurses are. This is stupidity! 

I won’t defend a minimalistic lifestyle. It’s not my way. Condensed milk is important. I bought some when the supermarket had them back on shelves. Art is very important! As important as food. Only spiritually miserable people don’t appreciate art. And I’m not talking about popular music like rap, brazilian funk, sertanejo or forró. I’m talking about art. And art is not any painting, any movie, any music, etc. Art is beyond techniques.

Back to the essential products, I think we, individually, are the ones choosing which ones are important. Some people believe in a future more minimalistic. I don’t. I believe we evolve along life and we discover what is essential for us. Not all human beings are able to do this. Many refuse the influence of those with higher standards and this is a way to sabotage ones own evolution.

I think my role as influencer is to help open minded people to elevate their standards, to think about things they never considered before, to give tips for the ones committed to self-improvement. I have nothing to say for those without this commitment. Obviously I’m not superior to others in everything. I learn a lot too. It’s fair I receive something for what I give, too. Not only lessons as what I offer aren’t only lessons.

I’m favourable to social isolation for a while, social distance to avoid spreading coronavirus, and we know there are ways for smart businesses to continue being part of the game through great strategies. Because as myself, other people around the world have needs that aren’t being completely fulfilled nowadays. This moment luxury is more valuable than ever.
