In a world where everyone has a camera, even a cell phone camera, what is the value of professional photography?
I could have followed paths like event photography, which I experimented with for a while, and it was an interesting challenge, but I opted for fine art photography, because it requires different preparation and preparation that I had in college.
Currently, an effect (many people call it a filter) called “Bold Glamor” is viral on tiktok. So far, everyone I've seen using it could look very similar to what the effect shows just by using makeup and the proper lighting. I am a person who rarely wears full makeup. I usually wear lipstick and eyeliner, and nothing else. I have never used false eyelashes. And what attracts me most about photography is this possibility of transforming ordinary people into people with an impressive appearance, which many celebrities do not have. I look for ways to value the unique beauty of each client. My aim is always the extraordinary. Those who read the text where I explain how I work with wedding photography might understand this. Those who know my work as a style consultant can also understand. I try to work with creative freedom to make each person's beauty shine in a unique way in each shoot. Although the client has a voice, I try to work with a level of creative freedom that allows me to identify and value the uniqueness of each one. And that's one of the reasons I avoid photographing groups.
In commercial photography, I only work with high-value products, consistent with the profile of an end audience that appreciates art.
The value of professional photography is in the photographer's repertoire, of everything he knows and amateurs don't. And the artistic vision, which not every photographer has and most amateurs don't either.
