I have already talked about typical dishes of the countries of the world and also of the Brazilian states. Today I will talk about the typical foods of the 4 Brazilian cities in which I lived. A text for each. If you want to add some food or make a comment without advertising anything, use the comments for that. This is the second text.
Uberlandia - MG
In most of the texts on this site I share personal experiences. So, I have to say that I lived in Uberlândia while I was in college and my budget was pretty tight. When I went to restaurants, I preferred to go to places that served different things than what I found in Montes Claros. In my last year in the city, I went every Saturday to a Chinese restaurant that offered a delicious buffet. But Chinese food is not typical food in Uberlândia, so if any restaurant in town that doesn't serve typical dishes, like this Chinese one, wants to promote their products here, I'll tell you more about what they offer and my recommendations.
My main indication of typical food in Uberlândia are pamonhas, sweet or savory. The savory ones with the filling are wonderful. This reminds me that sweet pamonhas without filling are also very common in Montes Claros. If you go to Uberlândia, try the stuffed savory pamonhas.
Corn-based dishes - such as pamonhas - are very common in the region.
There is also Galinhada, a version of Montes Claros rice with pequi, but with chicken instead of carne de sol. I have never tasted. But it has to be good.
I went to do research, because my ignorance about the typical foods from there is remarkable, I wanted more information for my readers and I also discovered:
- Pequi sauce. Uberlândia is also found in the Brazilian cerrado and also has pequi.
- Green papaya sauce. This reminds me that I have a wonderful green papaya candy dessert. Maybe I will share it when I publish a typical Brazilian dessert in the desserts of the world series.
- Papaya stick candy. I have never seen papaya sticks for sale. Maybe there is. If not, make friends with the locals and with a little luck you will discover the taste of this candy before I do. * I love sweets.
- Ameixinha de queijo. Visually it resembles an excellent Indian dessert.
Now I want to spend at least a week in Uberlândia to eat everything I did not know and show other interesting things about the city. Local businesses that want to promote their products and services should read my media kit. Companies from other parts of the world, read also. I can promote your products and showcase the beauties of the city where your company is located.
