🇬🇧 #UKHottestJulyDay

The trending topic on Twitter yesterday called my attention and I read some posts about that. I live in a city with climate similar to London. This city is Curitiba, in Brazil and it’s far different from the image foreigners usually have about Brazil. But I’m a nomad and I lived in other places with different profiles.
Last night I discovered a guy in the UK surprised to notice he only had jeans and jumpsuits to wear in the summer! It’s never too late to cut some of them to feel more comfortable.
Another one planned to move from the kingdom if that temperatures happened again. I must say the problem is not how hot the temperature is in one day only. By the way, I was born in a city where temperatures like 39°C were absolutely normal in the summer. But, I also saw the minimal in London should be 21°C. This is a large difference. In the city I was born, Montes Claros, everyone wear leather jackets and knitwear during the winter with temperatures close to 23°C. So, my tips if you consider to move and hot weather is uncomfortable are:
  1. Consider the local temperatures during the summer.
  2. Consider the local temperatures during the winter.
  3. Observe if the differences between points 1 and 2 are too big.
  4. Observe local temperatures day by day (it requires to observe the destination at least 9 months to observe summer and winter). See if the normal difference between the highest temperatures and the lowest (the same day) are too big.
  5. The big problem is not the temperature alone, but the shock of being used to low temperatures and 3 or 4 days a year the temperatures during the day surpass the normal too much.
In Curitiba sometimes I feel suffocating with temperatures around 27°C as at night is always fresh, usually around 18, 20 Celsius. By the other side, in Montes Claros, when it rains, instead of refreshing we feel suffocated. The good thing is: in Montes Claros to rain is rare.
Conclusion: choose to live wherever you want and use air conditioner and other resources to keep the temperatures inside home comfortable. To deal with the temperatures outside, to buy proper clothing is helpful. To keep the hair short is a good idea for any season and gender.
