🌍 Saint Laurent men. Fall/Winter 23/24 reviewed

Let's talk about Saint Laurent again. This time, talking about the autumn/winter 23/24 men's collection.

I'm glad that men's fashion is finally breaking gender stereotypes. And bored because some brands that are supposed to set trends are producing more of the same. Saint Laurent made me feel both alternating as I saw the pieces on the show.

Saint Laurent brought to the catwalk only shades of black and white and about 3 pieces in other colours (dark blue, a shade of beige and brown).

Nycka, have you seen the dresses? Yes, I did! And I'm happy that brands are crossing the line that dresses are for women. I've always said that Jesus Christ never wore a suit. And I'm not even Catholic.

The best clothes were certainly the ones the brand dared to cross the boundaries of gender stereotypes and some of the shirts (especially those that wouldn't look as good on women). Some pieces were too conventional. When we study the target audience in marketing, we know that there are criteria to delineate it. Saint Laurent's men's collection fails to be created to please innovators and conservatives at the same time, and that's absurd. It's as if Apple wanted to sell the most innovative model of computer and also manual typewriters. If you don't know what a typewriter is, lucky you.

Anyway, for you to wear Saint Laurent next fall either you are extremely conservative or you are a confident and open-minded person. There is no middle ground, just as there are no shades of grey in the collection. But if you are neither extremely insecure nor extremely confident, the fashion universe has other options that I can introduce you to in style consulting.

This text was super short, but everything I can say about the collection without being a consultant I already said. If you want to know more, make an appointment with me following the instructions on the “Services available” page.
