In this text I'm going to talk about Louis Vuitton's fall/winter 23/24 women's collection. As always, my personal opinion with a few doses of professional experience.
The colour chart presented on the catwalk, in addition to shades of grey, brown, black and white, also featured shades of blue and red. Read the previous text, because it says a lot about my personal and professional opinion about this choice.
The brand used standard skinny models (I'm happy with that) and, among the pieces presented, there are options for all body types. For you not make mistakes, hire my style consultancy.
Fortunately, I didn't see the company's logo on the clothes, and that's also a good thing.
Despite the unfortunate choice of colours, the collection features several clothes with an interesting design. Some of ordinary design. And at least one that I don't know if it was an attempt to make a different cut or an attempt to make a conventional cut, failed miserably anyway.
On the runway, at least eight long-sleeved pieces were presented that the sleeves were short for the models. As I am tall, I will once again express my dissatisfaction with this, because shortening a sleeve for short customers is simple, but increasing the sleeve is not easy and making adjustments to a larger size piece that has the sleeves in the correct length is something which has a high chance of going wrong. I hope that in the next shows, the brands take into account that, when it comes to the length of trousers and sleeves, it is always better to err on the side of excess than of lack.
I counted 11 pieces of clothing that I would easily wear by design, despite the chromatic monotony. Maybe some accessories too, but not in principle. The last time I bought clothes in shades of brown, grey, black or white for myself was 2011. The most recent purchases were all in other colours. As I always buy quality pieces, many of the neutral coloured pieces are still in good condition and I still wear them, but I keep the parameter of not having more than 20% neutral coloured pieces in the wardrobe and I am working to reach a index zero.
To have an outstanding wardrobe and know how to dress with purpose, in addition to having access to the most interesting clothes, accessories and jewellery for your profile, information about hair and makeup, among others, schedule a meeting with me following the instructions on the “Services available” page to start the style consulting process. I work with style as a non-verbal communication tool in order to enhance your best qualities through a unique methodology in the world. I do style consulting for men too.
I also accept sponsorships from companies, mainly companies in the luxury market, whether they are fashion or not.
