Today I will talk about tips on moving to another city within the same country. I believe that they can also be useful in moving to neighbouring countries, although in these cases I suggest that the reader check any rules that may exist regarding the import and export of the products that he or she wants to transport, such as furniture, appliances and others.
While we haven't found that place to call home, I think the ideal is to keep the property with as few things as possible (furniture, appliances and everything). But invest in excellent quality products. Transport between cities can damage low quality products. The sum of several movings will also do more harm to objects of lower quality than those that are among the best available on the market. And if afterwards you decide to move to another country and it is not possible to take everything, good quality products are always better to sell.
In Brazil it is not common to find furnished properties for rent, except for flats and Airbnb, which have rents much more expensive than an ordinary unfurnished apartment. So, if you come from another country, get ready to furnish and decorate the property. Unless you plan to stay during a short period of time, a few months, as there is no point in furnishing a property. Better to pay more for one that is ready, even though it doesn't have your identity.
Still regarding moving from a city to another in Brazil, in some cities the voltage of the plugs is 110 volts and in other cities it is 220. When moving from one city to another within the country, it is good to observe this.
If you have questions about this type of travel, use the comments to ask. The theme is very broad and I will write more about it in the next texts. Tell me about your experiences moving from a city to another, too!
