I grew up with the feeling of not having anyone looking like me in the media. The only actress I thought I looked like in my childhood / adolescence I thought was ugly. I remember that as a teenager I wore jeans 42, and even though I was tall and thin I didn't have a model's body, because models wear the Brazilian size 38. I knew I was not fat, but "I didn't fit" to be a model. And despite having lived with low self-esteem, the cause was never what I saw in the media. From the moment I started to buy my clothes and build a style that was mine, the fact that there was no one like me in the media didn't bother me anymore. Even nowadays, shampoo advertisements don't have women with short hair, and I don't want to boycott them all.
It took me a few years to feel beautiful, but somehow, having a style authentically mine was something that made me more confident. For this reason, and because I see so many people who do not value their own aspect, who seek improvement in plastic surgery and other changes that go far from self-knowledge work, I still think it is important to work with personal style.
People talk about standards of beauty, but what are those standards? I see advertising campaigns, movies, etc. and I don't see any pattern among beautiful people. There are beautiful people with white, black, yellow skin; of the most varied ages and heights; with eyes of the most varied colours, of varied physical structures. If you see a pattern of beauty comment here what pattern you see, and describe your appearance.
I am sure that anyone who decides to use my style services can find themselves more beautiful than they imagined. But there is no point in wanting to become a Kim Kardashian or Bradley Cooper clone that I don't work with imitation. If you are interested in valuing your beauty, just schedule your appointment using the button available in the sidebar. There is no standard of beauty, you are the one who is taking care of your appearance in a wrong way and comparing yourself too much with others, seeking outside what can only be found inside. There is no beauty in imitation, no matter how stunning the model that someone imitates. There is only real beauty in authenticity.
