Usually, when people think about to travel, the plans focus on famous touristic destinations, visiting the famous places. But... This is boring! I mean... Once it's OK, but if you only do this every time you travel you lose the best part of the destinations.

Have you, dear reader, visited any city in your own country which is not a famous touristic place? And abroad, have you ever tried some unusual destination?

I was born in Brazil and if you want to discover unknown cities in my country I can suggest you many. Next year I must try some new destinations abroad, but I'll not talk about it for now. Follow this website so you'll see.

Well, if you want to try some unique place, you must consider maybe the touristic structure is not so good as it would be in a place where thousands of tourists arrive every day. So, maybe you'll find excellent hotels, but they're used to business travellers, not with guests who are discovering the city. Are you ready for that? Yes, you are! It's worthy, trust me!

One interesting thing to start is to go to a city where there is something that interests you. If you appreciate an artist, for example, to visit the city where this person was born or where one writer wrote that book you love can be good starting points, in special for short trips to enjoy holidays. If you appreciate, for example, greek food, to discover a short course in Athens to learn more about it can be interesting. Well... I'd love to go to Athens because of philosophy and mythology! Don't you? Ok, Athens is not an unknown destination, but nowadays the greek beaches are preferred by the tourists.

Anyway, to rediscover a famous city from a unique point of view is also interesting. Instead of visiting those places where you'll find tourists from the whole world, go to the ones only people who live in the city know. Don't you know how to do this?
